And yes Dear, the background color is not what you want to suggest whimsy. It is more of a "southwestern dining room/office".
Try a different color, something in a red/yellow/orange. Something that sez "whimsy".

I made a new banner (it's at the bottom of the page) but I can't use it for a header. I think if I could, the yellow would make more sense.
harrumph. I'm sick of my template and I don't like the others. What's a girl to do?

hmmm... better!! I like the flower! Your only other choices, as i see it, are to
A) learn HTML graphics programming
B) pay the dude who did Raven's site to do yours
C) suck it up and use one of Blogger's cruddy plates.
"B" is prolly the best: you can use $$$ you've saved on The Pact for this instead!!

You can get rid of the double banner. . .I did. I just don't remember how.
There are perhaps some kinks to be worked out, but I like it. I'll check my template html and get back to you about the double banner thing.
That flower definitely says whimsy!
